Richard Branson’s new Caribbean accommodation costs US$19,000 a night
Billionaire Richard Branson opened the doors of Moskito Island, his private Caribbean island, to the world in late 2021 when he made three properties available for rent as part of the Virgin Limited Edition portfolio.
Now, a fourth accommodation has just opened that is entirely different from the previous offerings on the island. Think DJ booths and glass-bottomed hot tubs.
Located on the island’s western end, the Village is 1,680 square feet and has a modern design compared to the other properties.

Nine comfortable bedrooms with private bathrooms, living rooms, and balconies can accommodate up to 18 people and offer breathtaking views across the sea to the island of Virgin Gorda.
And those retreats are needed, too, because most of the common areas of the house are party-ready.
You’ll find quirky amenities throughout the futuristic building, like a hidden DJ booth that pops up from the outdoor terrace.

The deck and cabana overlook a two-story infinity pool, while the glass-bottomed hot tub juts out over the cliff edge (a feature in 2023).
A slide wraps around the property, and an advanced lighting and sound system connected to the entire 1.4-acre property keeps the party going.
That’s not all. In addition to a communal bar, guests have access to a spiral staircase that leads to the roof of the building and features LED lighting in sync with the sound.

So the lights change in time with the music, with a stadium-quality sound system.
The primary and dining pavilions surround both sides of the multi-level, infinity-edge, wave-shaped pool, with a water bar and submerged dry lounge with a fire pit.
A second pool leads to the main suite with a 360-degree terrace.
And that’s all without a state-of-the-art fitness room, soundproof movie theater, pizza oven, and organic vegetable garden from which a private chef prepares meals.

“After ten years of construction, The Village, just like its sister properties, reaches new levels of luxury with stunning design, creative amenities, and pristine panoramic views in a private setting,” says Jon Brown, managing director of Virgin Limited Edition.
“Mosquito Island knows no boundaries when it comes to creating unparalleled moments, and with the addition of The Village to our collection, we continue to build on our position as a luxury leader in the Caribbean.”
The Village joins three other luxury properties that opened in Mosquito last year: The Branson Estate (owned by Richard Branson), The Oasis Estate, and The Point Estate.

The lodging will be exclusive rentals, starting at US$19,000 per night for up to 18 people.
The daily rate includes the estate’s manager, a staff team, private chefs, all meals, beverages, non-motorized water sports, and a personalized itinerary.
