RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - King Pelé on Sunday night, February 13, posted on social media that he will be hospitalized to continue treatment for colon cancer, diagnosed last September.
The last time he had been in hospital was on January 19, when he needed to undergo routine tests.
In the post, Pelé displayed good humor and said that he would be watching the Super Bowl.
"Friends, as I have done every month, I am going to the hospital to continue my treatment. Hopefully there will be popcorn, to watch the Super Bowl later today. I will be watching the game . . .
