This holiday weekend, Rio de Janeiro will host live, virtual and free events

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The improving official Covid-19 statistics return Cariocas to the pre-pandemic routine that began in March 2020.

After a series of restrictions, such as the banning of events, concerts, samba circles, and festivals to avoid crowds of people, Rio de Janeiro is preparing a series of in-person, virtual, and free events for the extended holiday weekend ending Monday, November 15th, Proclamation of the Republic.

The city resumes its cultural programming and offers leisure for all tastes. Those who are in Rio can choose among plays, shows, exhibitions, and gastronomic festivals.
