Unprecedented in the world, 3D crypto-art exhibition opens in Brazil’s Florianópolis
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – With investments of R$12.5 (US$2.3) million, the exhibition has works of great names of the world’s digital art that can be bought.
Those who pass by the Beira-Mar Continental Avenue in Florianópolis can see, from afar, the 50-meter-high, 350-square-meter panel that displays the 3D digital exhibition Breaking The Fourth Wall. The novelty was brought to the country by partnering with the international New York agency Rise New York & Partners and Floripa Square.
By reading a QR Code, those interested in seeing and acquiring the works are directed to the site where they are displayed and can purchase the chosen artwork in NFT (non-fungible tokens).
Digital art in NFT enables artists to expand the visibility of their works. NFT is a digital asset with its authenticity verified by blockchain, the same technology used in cryptocurrencies.
The exhibition counted on a team of Brazilian digital artists, such as André Holzmeister, a Brazilian living in the United States and considered an expert in NFT. According to the artist, the exhibition is an opportunity for people to get closer to the digital art universe and a possibility for artists to promote their work.
“The NFT came to democratize digital art. In addition, it allows the digital artist to sign his work, certifying its originality and guaranteeing it as the only copy,” says Holzmeister, who, besides exhibiting, is responsible for curating the show.
André highlights that crypto-art is only a part of the crypto universe, allowing various other digital items to be acquired. “It is a new world that is opening up, with an eye to the future,” he says.
The artists Flávio Montiel, Rafael do Nascimento Fernandes, Rodrigo Rodrigues (RodRod), Vinícius Lavor, Edson Pavoni, Henrique Montanari (EMX) and Uno also participate in the show.
The exhibition will start this Saturday (6), around 6 PM on the Continental seafront.
