Hurricane Fiona has left the entire territory of Puerto Rico without power, reports US online portal PowerOutage.us.
"As of 1 pm EDT (5 pm GMT) on September 18, 2022, 100% of Puerto Rico is without power due to Hurricane Fiona," the portal wrote on its Twitter account.
Tropical Storm Fiona developed into a Category 1 hurricane early Sunday morning with winds of up to 130 kilometers per hour and approached the island of Puerto Rico.
The island's governor, Pedro Pierluisi, ordered drought conditions at 6 pm local time (10 pm GMT).
