Ford hires 500 engineers for development center in Brazil’s Bahia state

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Despite the closure of its manufacturing operations in Brazil, Ford has announced an expansion of its technology and development center in the country. The company has hired 500 new engineers and specialists to work at the brand's technology park in Camaçari, Bahia.

For Ford South America President Daniel Justo, the Brazilian engineering team, which will grow to 1,500 professionals with the expansion, plays a vital role in the company's global development. "It is proof of our country's capacity and competitiveness in exporting projects and knowledge," he adds.
