Data from official market charts and ETF reports showed Bitcoin sliding sharply after setting a new record above 123,000 dollars. The decline accelerated as traders booked gains and global policy headlines unsettled sentiment.

The last twenty-four hours saw high volumes and sharp reversals, with institutional flows continuing to support major crypto assets at elevated levels.

Across the board, cryptocurrencies retreated after days of relentless gains. Bitcoin posted a last price of 117,038 dollars, down 4.3 percent, reflecting significant selling after printing all-time highs earlier in the day.

The correction followed continued spot Bitcoin ETF inflows, which reached 297 million dollars for the eighth consecutive day. Ethereum experienced less volatility but still dropped almost 2 percent to settle below 3,000 dollars.

Its ETF inflows reached a weekly record, confirming sustained interest from funds. XRP held near 2.87 dollars while showing reduced momentum after strong accumulation by larger market participants through the week.

Solana dropped 3.5 percent, mimicking Bitcoin’s reversal, while Litecoin outperformed, inching up nearly 1 percent in a defensive trade pattern as other major tokens declined.

A handful of lower-cap coins defied the broader sell-off. Notably, C/USDT soared by over 670 percent due to speculative trading.

PUMP, BGSC, and BONK rose between 10 and 49 percent as traders rotated into high-momentum plays, though such moves remained isolated and appeared driven by short-term factors.

Technical analysis revealed heavy overbought conditions dissipated on both the daily and 4-hour charts after the reversal. The daily chart showed Bitcoin’s price retreating from the upper Bollinger Band, with the MACD signal flattening and signaling lost momentum.

The Relative Strength Index, which had signaled exhaustion near overbought territory, moved lower. Major moving averages continued to point upward, maintaining long-term bullish orientation.

The 4-hour chart depicted a sharper, shorter-term breakdown. MACD crossed downward as sellers overwhelmed buyers. RSI on this timeframe plunged from overbought to neutral, confirming the unambiguous shift toward profit-taking and possible liquidations in leveraged positioning.

Volume swelled during the sell-off, confirming institutional activity underpinning the move. Fundamentally, traders responded to tariff announcements and renewed political tensions, which sparked profit-taking after last week’s euphoric rally.

Accumulated ETF flows provided structural support, but failed to offset the shock from changing macroeconomic signals and a stronger dollar environment.

Traders showed a preference for realizing profits and reducing risk while institutions continued to accumulate at slightly lower levels.

Support levels for Bitcoin emerged at 115,000 to 116,000 dollars, with more meaningful daily support appearing near 110,000. Resistance moved down to the 118,000 to 120,000 dollar range.

The market’s structural uptrend persisted, but recent events forced a rapid, broad adjustment in prices. Altcoins broadly underperformed major assets, except for a handful showing speculative spikes.

Across the entire sector, traders realigned portfolios, focusing on assets likely to benefit as ETF inflows stabilize and global policy path forward becomes clearer.
