Assaí, Rede D’Or, and Vibra Energia Announce Major Financial Moves

Sendas Distribuidora, the parent company of Assaí (ASAI3), has announced its inaugural share repurchase program.

This program, disclosed on June 25, will run for 12 months. The plan involves repurchasing up to 3.8 million ordinary shares, which is 0.28% of the total shares in circulation.

The company may hold these shares in treasury or allocate them to incentive programs. The Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meeting approved this decision on April 26.

Meanwhile, Rede D’Or (RDOR3), a leader in the hospital sector, will distribute R$ 350 million ($64.22 million) in interest on equity (JCP) to its shareholders.

This announcement, made on Tuesday, translates to R$ 0.15574080156 per ordinary share. The payment will be subject to income tax withholding at source.

Shareholders will receive these dividends on July 9, based on the register as of June 28, 2024.

Starting July 1, the shares will trade ex-interest, meaning they are no longer eligible for this dividend.

The payment will be net of income tax unless shareholders prove tax immunity or exemption.

Payment will occur by December 30, 2025, based on the shareholder register as of June 28, 2024.

Starting July 1, investors will sell shares ex-interest, rendering them ineligible for the announced dividends.
