Air Europa Announces Restart of Operations in Brazil on July 15th

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Air Europa will restart its operations in Brazil on July 15th, in São Paulo, with three weekly flights to Madrid, Spain, where the company’s existing flight connections will be available.

On September 1st, the airline will restart its operations in Salvador, with two weekly flights to Madrid. In Fortaleza and Recife, the return is scheduled for November 1st. The company’s return will be gradual on all the routes it operates.

The Spanish airline also announced the resumption of flights from Madrid to 15 European countries and 13 other destinations in the Caribbean, Central, and South America, as well as New York and Miami, as of July 15th.

On the same date, Air Europa will resume its flights to Marrakech, Tunis and Tel Aviv, with two weekly services. “The reopening of European and transoceanic routes remain subject to the development of the situation and the lifting of restrictions by the respective government authorities,” the company said.

The return of the company’s operations within Spain will take place earlier, on June 22nd, when it will restart its flights between the Spanish peninsula and the Canary and Balearic archipelagos, and reinforce the route it currently operates between Madrid and Palma de Mallorca, with three daily flights, as well as its inter-island flights.

The company explains that it has reinforced its safety measures and introduced new ones in line with the EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) and the AESA (State Air Safety Agency) protocols and recommendations.

Promotional airfares

With its resumption, the airline is launching a promotion for flights from Brazil to Madrid and Barcelona, starting at R$2,565 (US$493), in addition to other European destinations, such as Lisbon, Paris, and London, starting at R$2,310, buying round-trip flights – an amount below what is typically offered by the company.

The new rates are valid until June 21st and allow trips until December 10th, in the case of long haul flights, which include flights from Brazil to Europe, and until November 30th for other routes.
