The mysterious, mystical monuments of Florianópolis that attract tourists

Known as the Magic Island for its mysticism and countless legends, Florianópolis has a special place that has everything to do with its affectionate nickname:

The Prayer Dolmen trail. Located on Galheta Hill, the hike to the top takes you to megalithic monuments and rock inscriptions that function as an ‘energetic portal’.

The person who discovered this ‘hidden treasure’ was the fisherman and anthropologist Adnir Ramos, considered the father of archaeoastronomy in Santa Catarina, in 1988.

MORE MYSTERIOUS PLACES

“When I went fishing, I saw the inscriptions in my backyard. Lacking answers, I decided to study to be able to interpret their shapes and drawings,” said Adnir Ramos.

Little by little, Ramos realized there was a kind of calendar there. The stones defined the year’s seasons by nomadic people more than five thousand years ago.

“I realized that all this was in the back of my house. And with this discovery, I realized that the whole island was full of megalithic monuments, which are part of a worldwide network that marks not only the equinoxes but also the Earth’s magnetic field,” he says.

According to the anthropologist, a group of British scientists visited the site a few years ago and found that they were facing very powerful energy interactions.

“They brought equipment, they measured. The monuments were even compared to Stonehenge, in England,” he recalls.

Still, according to Ramos, the alignments of the stones would connect with temples scattered around the world.

“When the sun rises in winter, for example, its reflection is in the direction of the Pyramids in Egypt. In summer, the sun is directed towards the Temple of Angkor in Cambodia.

At sunset, in the same season, it is aligned with Easter Island. They are connected, and whoever placed these stones knew the process,” he details.

HEALING AND TRANSFORMATION AFTER THE VISIT

Some mystics claim that places like the Prayer Dolmen are a kind of portal for communication with celestial beings.

No wonder those who hike the trail and touch the stones say they feel “lighter and invigorated.”

When you touch one of the monuments, you work the energetic field. At the Menir Central stone, it is recommended that you hug it and stay a few minutes absorbing its energies.

Ramos also tells us that those visiting the site report transformation and even healing.

“All the people say that they have never been in a place so full of energy. They feel lighter and happier. Some have already mentioned improvement in their health.

“One person who laid down under the Pedra Virada (Turned Stone) guaranteed to be cured of a kidney stone. Others arrive lost in life, without knowing which path to follow, and the day after the visit report some change, either at work or in their love life. Each one has their own experience”, he explains.

The researcher regrets that the megalithic monuments, despite 35 years of study, are still not recognized as ancestral cultural heritage.

“We are inside a healing center that people don’t know about. Nobody pays attention to what we have in Brazil, especially Santa Catarina. We need a lot of scientific studies, and the only one is still mine,” he says, who released the book Divine Genesis: The Fisherman’s Discoveries.
