The Peruvian Switzerland is the province of Huaraz which is located at 3090 m.a.s.l. The name of this place comes from the Quechua language ‘waraq’, whose meaning is star. It is approximately 408 kilometers north of Lima and is one of the most modern cities in the Peruvian Andes.
