For over five years, the event has been going strong and gaining popularity. Held at Gávea’s chic club 00 (Zero Zero) with its indoor/outdoor arrangement, the Bem Brasil Rio Hostel Party is a weekly meeting of locals, tourists and travelers. Many who attend are staying at one of Rio’s sixty hostels.
Tonight the entertainment includes a performance from the samba group Bom Batuque and DJs Bruno Lima and Ricardo Martins spinning house and latin rhythms respectively.
Make sure to show up early for the free caipirinhas from 10PM to 12AM and stay late to make new friends and dance the night away as the party continues until Wednesday morning.

Matriz Live Sessions with Anemoan and Clashing Clouds (Botafogo)
The weekly ‘Matriz Live Sessions,’ were originally one of the first musical programs held at Casa da Matriz, one of the oldest music venues in Rio. The sessions have returned now to help bring some rock’n’roll to a somewhat inactive weeknight. Tonight Anemoan and Clashing Clouds will perform live.

Novas Frequências 2014 with Mark Fell, Keith Fullerton Whitman and The Astroboy (Botafogo)
Tonight English musician Mark Fell and American musician Keith Fullerton Whitman return to perform live at the Botafogo music store, Audio Rebel. Portuguese artist The Astroboy will also play live tonight as part of the ongoing 2014 Novas Frequências.

Language exchange – Lapa Irish Pub (Lapa)
It’s time again for the Portuguese/English language exchang at Lapa Irish Pub tonight. Set up like speed dating, native English speakers will be paired up with native Portuguese speaker at tables. The pairs will then speak English for 5 minutes followed by Portuguese for 5 minutes. After those ten minutes, each speaker will move on to a new table and conversation partner. It’s both fun and educational and the R$10 entrance cost includes free food.
