São Paulo Nightlife Tonight — September 10, 2026

If You Only Go to One Place

A Sinatra Tribute with a Big Band on Paulista

Mark Lambert fronts the Blue Note Big Band at 20:00 tonight. The club flagged it as down to its last tickets when we checked this morning, so buy before you travel.

Tonight at a Glance

  • Sinatra tribute · Blue Note Mark Lambert and the Blue Note Big Band, 20:00.
  • Cynthia Luz · Blue Note “Tour Ponto Panorâmico”, the late set, at 22:30.
  • Both nearly gone The club marked both shows as last tickets on 10 September.
  • Tickets Through the club’s own site and Eventim, its listed ticketing partner.
  • Box office The ground-floor desk opens 10:00 to 18:00, Monday to Saturday. The second-floor desk adds 19:00 to 23:00, Wednesday to Saturday, on show days.
  • Seating Tables are allocated by arrival order, so come early for a view.

Tonight, Thursday 10 September 2026, one room on Avenida Paulista runs two very different sets. Both were close to selling out when we looked, so this is a night to book rather than wander into.

What’s On Tonight

Blue Note São Paulo lists two shows for tonight on its own programme page. They are separate ticketed events rather than one long evening.

The first is a Frank Sinatra tribute at 20:00, with the singer Mark Lambert and the Blue Note Big Band. A big band means a full horn section rather than a small jazz group.

The second is Cynthia Luz at 22:30, on her “Tour Ponto Panorâmico”. She works in Brazilian rap and R&B, which makes the late set a sharp turn from the early one.

Both shows carried a last-tickets flag on the club’s page when we checked on 10 September. That is a status rather than a fact, and it can change either way during the day.

The club does not publish prices on its programme index. Each show has its own page carrying the price, and sales run through the club’s site and Eventim.

The room is on the second floor of the Conjunto Nacional, at Avenida Paulista 2073. Its ground-floor box office opens 10:00 to 18:00 from Monday to Saturday, with a second-floor desk from 19:00 to 23:00 on show nights, Wednesday to Saturday.

The Rest of the Week

The same room keeps a double bill through the weekend. Tomorrow, Nenê Amaral plays a Tim Maia tribute marking ten years of the Acesso Rock night, at 20:00 and 22:30.

Saturday brings Dori Caymmi with “Utopia”, joined by Danilo Caymmi, again at 20:00 and 22:30. Sunday is a single early show at 19:00.

That Sunday show is Trem de 3, with Carlos Malta, Jaques Morelenbaum and Marcelo Costa. Looking further ahead, the Flávio Venturini night on 16 September is already marked sold out.

What We Could Not Confirm

Canto da Ema, the forró house on Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima, publishes hours and prices but not a nightly line-up. On Thursdays it runs 20:30 to 01:00, with entry at R$55 (about US$11) or R$27 (about US$5) at the concessionary rate.

Forró is a couples dance from the northeast of Brazil. The house notes that prices and hours can change for particular events, so ring (11) 2503-2915 before crossing town.

Casa de Francisca, in the central district, programmes its own rooms with separate shows and prices. We did not confirm tonight’s programme, so check its own listing before booking.

Money and How Paying Works

Dollar figures here use a rate of R$5.0979 to one US dollar. That is the Banco Central PTAX closing sell rate for Wednesday 9 September, the most recent published figure.

Blue Note does not publish tonight’s prices on its index page. Take the figure from the individual show page rather than from any third-party listing.

Food and drink are charged separately from the ticket. A service charge, called serviço, is usually added at about 10 per cent and is optional under Brazilian law.

Getting Home Safe

The 20:00 show finishes well inside normal metro hours. The 22:30 show will not, so plan a car home if you take the late set.

Check the last train for your own line on the Metrô or ViaQuatro sites. Closing times differ by line and by night of the week.

Avenida Paulista stays busy and well lit late into the evening. Wait for a rideshare on the avenue rather than on a side street.
