LIVE:
Sergio Brandão Trio @ OSCAR (Leblon) – For Wednesdays, OSCARS is a great bet, hosting a weekly live jazz and bistronomy evening from 8PM-11PM.

This week, composer and guitarist Sergio Brandão returns to the OSCAR bistro bar with a vibrant repertoire of jazz and MPB, accompanied by saxophonist Widor Santiago (who has accompanied Roberto Carlos, Maria Bethânia, Cazuza and Milton Nascimento) and bassist Jefferson Lescowich (who has played with João Bosco, Marcos Valle, Hermeto Pascoal and Banda Família Caymmi).

Their sound presents a mixture of folk and urban roots of MPB, in unconventional free forms, individual and collective improvisations, and a rich harmonic color characteristic of contemporary jazz.

There will be an artistic cover charge of R$15 and the music starts at 8PM.

PARTY:
Latin Party @ Pub Kriok (Lapa) – The original party that brought reggaeton to Rio is always ready to bring the disorder.

The night is free and has an open bar of beer and caipirinha until midnight. What more could a party need?

DJs Slim, Bam Bam and Sany are going to be taking over two floors of Pub Kriok and pumping out some of the finest reggaeton, funk and pop all through the night.

On the first floor will be reggaeton, latin pop, world music, hiphop, pop and much more. On the second floor will be merengue, trance, salsa, funk and a whole lot more Miami style rhythms.

After midnight there is a two-for-one offer on caipirinha and catuaba. There will be great photographers capturing the magic, LED light shows, excellent air-conditioning over three floors. This is a night that will go on for a long time (eight years running so far).

La Fiesta! New Mariuzinn (Copacabana) – La Fiesta! is the party that is in love with Latin culture.

Several renowned DJs from the Latin scene will be behind the decks for the whole night in the newly renovated New Mariuzinn Copacabana.

With lots of Salsa, Reggaeton, Cumbia and Bachata your Wednesday nights will have a special Latin seasoning.

There will be special offers on Fernet Branca and Pisco Mistral and they will be broadcasting national and internationl football games.

Tonight the person in charge of the Latin rhythms is the famous DJ Cauê Campean, with the mission of getting everyone dancing, with house, hip-hop, brazilian funk and trap guaranteed until the sun rises.

Double measures all night long and free beer and caipirinhas from 10PM until midnight. Tickets are between R$40 – R$50 and the night starts at 10PM.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)

Flashback (Ipanema)
Flashback is a high-end restaurant with plenty of classical music and photos decorating the walls. Tonight, between 7PM and 9PM the restaurant will serve a happy hour with two for one on caipivodkas and Stella Artois. The caipivodkas are made fresh with either lime, strawberry or passionfruit as well as additional herbs added in for a taste explosion.
