Niall Horan, the Irish singer who rose to fame in One Direction, will play Mexico City and Guadalajara in May 2027. Tickets are on sale now, and US fans need only a valid passport to go.

He plays Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes on Friday 7 May and Guadalajara’s Arena VFG on Tuesday 11 May. Both shows belong to his Dinner Party Live On Tour and are promoted by the Mexican concert company OCESA.

Who Niall Horan Is and Why These Shows Matter

Niall Horan is an Irish singer-songwriter who got his start on The X Factor, the British TV talent show. He rose to fame in the 2010s as a member of the boy band One Direction.

He released his first solo single, This Town, in 2016, after One Direction went on a break. His first solo album, Flicker, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, the main US album chart, in November 2017.

American viewers also know him as a coach on The Voice, the NBC singing contest. Singers from his team won each of his first three seasons as a coach.

Dinner Party, his fourth solo album, came out in June 2026 and went straight to number one in Britain. The tour of the same name is now playing arenas across Europe.

It reaches North America in March 2027 and runs there until late May, according to Live Nation’s tour listing. The Niall Horan dates in Mexico sit between his Texas shows in Fort Worth (Sunday 2 May) and Austin (Friday 14 May).

For US fans, a Mexico date is a chance to pair the concert with a few days in a new city. In Guadalajara, the arena is only five minutes from the airport, which keeps a short trip simple.

Palacio de los Deportes: The Mexico City Venue and How to Get There

The Palacio de los Deportes, or Sports Palace, opened its doors for the 1968 Olympic Games. Its copper dome, which the venue calls the Domo de Cobre, is the work of the architect Félix Candela.

The venue says it can hold up to 24,500 people, depending on how the stage is set up. It stands in the Granjas México district of Iztacalco, a borough in eastern Mexico City.

The venue points visitors to Velódromo Metro station and to Goma, its stop on the Metrobús rapid-bus network. Velódromo is on Metro Line 9, a six- to eight-minute walk away, the Mexican news channel N+ says.

Parking inside the grounds is limited, and the cost varies. After a late show, a ride-hailing app or an official taxi is the simpler way back to a hotel.

The venue’s own box office at Gate 7 sells tickets without service charges. Mexico City’s arena calendar is busy, and Morat plays seven nights at the same venue in November.

Clear plastic bags may measure up to 30 x 15 x 30 cm, about 12 x 6 x 12 inches. Small handbags and belt bags may measure up to 11 x 16 cm, about 4 x 6 inches.

Backpacks, professional cameras, selfie sticks, umbrellas, vapes, lighters, food and drink are not allowed. The venue notes that the rules can vary from event to event.

Arena VFG: The Guadalajara Venue and How to Get There

Like the Palacio de los Deportes, Arena VFG belongs to OCESA’s network of venues. With room for up to 15,000 people, it describes itself as the largest venue in the Guadalajara metropolitan area.

The arena sits at kilometre 20 of the Guadalajara–Chapala highway. The venue says it is five minutes from the city’s airport.

Ticketmaster lists the show under Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, a municipality in the Guadalajara metro area. The Niall Horan show in Guadalajara starts at 8pm, according to the OCESA event listing.

Horan’s former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles has played there, as have Billie Eilish, Muse and Depeche Mode. The venue also lists Katy Perry and Twenty One Pilots among past acts.

The arena has 2,500 parking spaces, plus 2,000 more in an overflow lot. There is a taxi rank and a pick-up zone for Uber.

The box office opens at 10am on show days and stays open until 30 minutes after the start. Bags may measure up to 30 x 30 cm, about 12 x 12 inches.

Cameras, selfie sticks, tablets, umbrellas, bulky backpacks, signs, food and drink are not allowed. Earplugs, prescription medicine, portable chargers and binoculars are fine.

Tips for US and Foreign Visitors

US citizens need a valid passport to enter Mexico, the Embassy of Mexico in Washington says. The State Department adds that a visa is required only for visits longer than 180 days.

Mexican authorities issue a digital entry form at all the country’s international airports. Your passport is also stamped with your entry date, the State Department says.

In its advisory dated Friday 29 May 2026, the State Department rates Mexico City at Level 2, “exercise increased caution.” It asks for extra care at night outside popular tourist areas, where police patrol more often.

Jalisco, the state around Guadalajara, sits at Level 3, “reconsider travel,” citing terrorism, crime and kidnapping. It says battles between criminal groups in Guadalajara have happened in tourist areas.

The same advisory places no travel limits on US government staff in the Guadalajara metropolitan area. That area includes Arena VFG.

General sale opened in early October, the Mexican news site Sopitas reported. It followed a fan presale and a presale for cardholders of Banamex, a Mexican bank.

For both shows, plan your ride to and from the arena before the night. Use a ride-hailing app or an official taxi, and keep phones out of sight in crowds.

Tickets are priced in Mexican pesos. On Tuesday 6 October 2026, one US dollar bought about 18.11 pesos, close to the level in the latest peso report.

A quick rule helps at checkout: every MXN 1,000 (US$55) on the screen is roughly 55 dollars on your card. Ask your bank whether it adds a foreign transaction fee.

What Is Not Confirmed Yet

OCESA has not yet posted a start time or a door time for the Mexico City show. Its listing gives 8pm for Guadalajara but no door time.

No opening act has been named for either Niall Horan date. Zone prices are shown on Ticketmaster México when you buy.

OCESA lists one show in each city and no Monterrey date so far. No second night has been announced for either city.

Buy only through Ticketmaster México or the venue box offices to avoid fake tickets. Check the date and venue on your confirmation before you book flights.
