In Brazil, pig pulls deliveryman from his motorcycle and bites him; video

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A deliveryman was injured after being pulled from his motorcycle and bitten by a pig late Sunday afternoon (18) in Franca, near Ribeirão Preto in the state of São Paulo interior. Willian de Souza Rodrigues, 43, suffered a bite wound of 7 centimeters and needed 14 stitches after the attack.

Images leaked to EPTV, a subsidiary of TV Globo, show the moment in which the delivery boy, already pulled from the motorcycle, flees from the animal. He tries to protect himself with the backpack he carries on his back, but the pig advances and bites him.

It can be seen in the pictures that while Willian tried to run away from the animal, no one offered help.

The delivery boy was rescued by the Mobile Ambulance Service (Samu) and released home after being stitched up for recovery. According to Willian, he was advised by doctors not to work for the next few days.

The animal’s owner had not yet been located.
