On June 13, Bolsonaro had already said that he calculated that gasoline could cost R$ 2 per liter less at the pumps after the bill that imposes a ceiling for the ICMS (Value-Added Tax on Sales and Services) was approved. The president sanctioned the law 10 days later, on June 23.

The Chief Executive also said he would continue monitoring fuel prices at the gas stations.

The LP will make official this Sunday (24) Bolsonaro’s candidacy for reelection. The event is scheduled for 11:22 a.m. at the Maracanãzinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro.
