Additionally tonight, the popular carnaval bloco, Bloco Do Sargento Pimenta will perform their first show of the season. The bloco is well known for blending samba with the best of works of the Beatles.

Botafogo’s Casa da Matriz will host the summer edition of the Keep on Rockin’ party tonight. DJs Arlei Hey Hey, Thiago Burgos and Igor Boechat will spin the best of indie rock, alternative and indie pop on the first floor with VJ C. Lobo providing visual projections. On the second floor, DJs Bgolls Incrível and Lia Novello will spin the best of indie. First one hundred people to arrive will receive free welcome jello shots. Tonight La Passion in Glória will host the Festa do Branco (White Party) to commemorate four years of La Passion. Vocalist and guitarist Pedro Holanda will start things off again tonight at Carioca da Gema at 7:30PM and Leo Russo will follow at 9:30PM. Then at 11:30PM, singer-songwriter Moyseis Marques will perform his compositions. Marques has released three albums as well as written for and worked with artists including Moacyr Luz, Zé Renato, Bena Lobo, João Martins, Edu Krieger and Fernando Temporão, among others.

Trio Pé de Serra, Toque de Arte and Simone Lial (Centro)
At 8PM singer Simone Lial will return to start off the night at Rio Scenarium again with her blend of samba, MPB and jazz. Then at 11PM, the group Toque de Arte will perform the best of samba, including the classics. Finally at 2:30AM, Trio Pé de Serra, will perform some of the best forró you can hear anywhere in the city tonight.

Tonight the Leviano bar in Lapa will present the Lapafest party. Singer Gabby Moura will start off the night with samba and pagode. Additionally during the night, DJs Márlio and Aílton Areas will spin between shows.
