Among the points discussed are the establishment of an operational synergy between the police, safe and efficient exchange of information on activities related to fighting crime in border areas, the consolidation of cooperation in the fight against crime and migration control. The updating of the agreement of the “Tripartite Command” was also an agenda of the meeting.

DIALOGUE

For Secretary Romulo Marinho Soares, the main concern of the Government of Paraná is always with the welfare of the population. “Dialogue is always important to find a solution. Participating in the discussion of strategic planning will result in future actions developed by the countries involved. Therefore, the integration of forces is essential to promote security in border areas”, said Marinho.

The Minister of Justice and Public Safety (MJSP), Anderson Torres, stressed the importance of meetings like this one. “The new challenges of confronting the fight against organized crime in this region impose on us the task of updating the tripartite command agreement,” he said.

The document signed by the three ministers of security declared the strengthening of the integration of security agencies in the investigative, operational, and intelligence spheres in the region, as well as the cooperation efforts in the fight against crime. The next meeting between the triple border countries will be held in Foz do Iguaçu, next year.
