Venezuelan state airline expands international connections despite U.S. sanctions

Venezuelan state-owned airline Conviasa announced Tuesday that it is gradually expanding its international connections to various countries worldwide, despite the obstacles imposed by the United States imposed on the company.

Last Sunday, the route between Falcón (northwest) and Havana was inaugurated, while today, Tuesday, a new connection between Caracas and Madrid was announced, to be served weekly from Nov. 1.

Yesterday, Monday, Conviasa promoted "new connections" from Venezuela to Istanbul, China, and Dubai.

The company will also offer its users air service to Doha, Qatar, starting Nov. 18, as part of the 2022 World Cup.
