Annual inflation in Colombia reaches 10.21% in July, highest in 22 years

Oviedo pointed out that the inflation registered in the seventh month of the year was 0.81%, five times higher than the historical average expected for a normal month of July.

The annual change in the CPI in July was 6.24 percentage points higher than in the same period last year when it was 3.97%, the agency's statement said.

Clothing, footwear, food, and non-alcoholic beverages showed the largest changes, with increases of 3.6% and 1.17%, respectively.
