Cuba to Ensure Free Distribution of Covid Vaccine to Interested Latin American Countries
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Wednesday, September 9th, the Cuban government made an agreement with PAHO (Pan American Health Organization) to distribute the Soberana 01 vaccine, which is being developed by Cuban scientists, free of charge to all Latin American countries that request it.
According to the agreement, PAHO would buy tens of thousands of doses of Soberana 01, which is being developed by the Finlay Institute of Vaccines, and which is expected to be ready in the first quarter of 2021.
