Beyond the evaluation of the vessel by the Uruguayan Navy and the offer of a free transfer from Chile, the work necessary to bring the vessel to complete working order, a task that would be carried out by the Chilean shipyard Asmar, would cost around US$1.5 million.
This cost, which would be insignificant in the international defense market, could be a significant obstacle for the Uruguayan Navy, which has an almost non-existent investment budget.
