Brazil’s VP Mourão wants constitutional amendment to end monocratic decisions in Supreme Court

Brazil's Vice President Hamilton Mourão (Republican, right), 69, senator-elect for the Rio Grande do Sul state, defended in an interview with Poder360 the approval of a proposed constitutional amendment (PEC) to abolish monocratic decisions in the STF (Supreme Court of Justice).

"There must be an amendment to the Constitution that says decisions must be made either by the entire class or by the plenary of the STF," the Army Reserve general said.

"I think the decision of a single judge that impacts the entire nation is complicated."
