Brazil evaluates a batch of homegrown 50 Imbel IA2 rifles before a major purchase

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Brazilian Army's Production Directorate visited the Indústria de Material Bélico do Brasil (Imbel) plant to take delivery of a pilot batch of 50 7.62mm assault rifles IA2 acquired by the Brazilian Army (EB) as part of the Army's strategic program to achieve full operational capability.

This pilot series will be sent to the Army Evaluation Center for technical and operational evaluation before another order for 1,450 units is placed.

During the visit, the Brazilian company presented the batch in question and its production line. This contract reaffirms the partnership . . .
