Brazil: more than 100,000 say “no” in a Senate poll on penalizing unvaccinated people
Open for public consultation on the Brazilian Senate website, Bill 5.555/20 that wants to punish non-vaccinated people has already received more than 100,000 “no” votes.
The bill is authored by Senator Angelo Coronel (PSD-BA).
The bill intends to change the Penal Code to typify the behaviors of non-submission to experimental vaccination, treated in the bill as “mandatory”.

The report also includes the “dissemination of false news about the effectiveness of the vaccine and discouraging adherence to the vaccination program” as punishable crimes.
In the text, the senator suggests a prison sentence of two to eight years and a fine for anyone who “fails to submit, without just cause, to mandatory vaccination in a public health emergency situation”.
Earlier this Thursday night (19), the bill had already received 101,034 contrary votes. Only 9,159 favorable votes were counted until the same time.
RUSSIAN MODEL
In 2019, Senator Angelo Coronel presided over the controversial CPMI (Joint Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry) on Fake News, which was instrumental to promote a real hunt for conservatives and culminated in constant abuses by the Judiciary and serious dictatorial control by the authorities over everything that is said on open social networks or private groups.
While chairing the CPMI, Coronel traveled to Russia to seek more knowledge on how to exercise more “control” over freedom of expression in Brazil.
A partner of the Chinese regime, Russia is ruled with an iron fist by Vladimir Putin, one of the presidents who most persecute journalists in the world.
