Bitcoin Steady at $87K While SHIB Soars Nearly 10% – March 26, 2025
The cryptocurrency market is showing renewed strength this morning after yesterday’s consolidation phase, with Bitcoin hovering around $87,622 (+0.98%) and most altcoins posting solid gains.
This follows a period of mixed performance on March 25, when the market took a breather after the strong rally seen on March 24.
Bitcoin (BTC): Currently trading at $87,622, up 0.98% in the past 24 hours with impressive volume of $9.74 billion. Bitcoin has largely recovered from yesterday’s slight pullback when it traded around $86,000 after briefly touching $87,000.

XRP: Has shown strong performance at $2.453 (+1.32%) with volume reaching $757.53 million. XRP has been one of 2025’s standout performers, up more than 18% year-to-date while many other major cryptocurrencies have declined.
Solana (SOL): Trading at $143.685 (+3.02%) with volume of $383.23 million. SOL has reclaimed the $142 mark after gaining 8.5% during yesterday’s session, driven by broader market optimism and growing interest from top traders.

Market Analysis
Yesterday’s market showed signs of slowing down compared to the March 24 rally, with the global cryptocurrency market cap decreasing slightly by 0.25% to $2.84 trillion. However, trading volume surged by 25.41%, reaching $81.82 billion, indicating strong market participation despite the price consolidation.
The Fear and Greed Index has risen to 47, with market sentiment turning neutral from previous fearful levels. This shift suggests improving investor confidence despite lingering economic uncertainties.

ETF Flows
Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded a net inflow of $26.83 million on March 25, marking the 8th consecutive day of positive flows. BlackRock’s IBIT led with a net inflow of $42.03 million, while Bitwise BITB saw a net outflow of $10.06 million.
The total net asset value of Bitcoin ETFs has now reached $99.072 billion, accounting for 5.68% of Bitcoin’s total market capitalization. This extended streak of inflows follows Bitcoin ETFs snapping a five-week outflow trend in the week ending March 21.
Meanwhile, Ethereum spot ETFs experienced a net outflow of $3.21 million yesterday, with all nine ETFs recording negative flows.
Technical Analysis
Bitcoin futures cooled off yesterday after Monday’s strong rally (+4.38% intraday, closing +3.31%). Key VWAP levels to watch today include:
- Today’s VWAP: $87,400
- Yesterday’s VWAP: $87,640
The market remains in a holding pattern between $86,645 and $87,800. A bullish scenario would be triggered if Bitcoin breaks and holds above $87,800, potentially opening the path to targets at $88,385, $88,625, $89,340, and ultimately $90,790.
Conversely, a bearish scenario would activate if price breaks below $86,645, with potential downside targets at $86,170, $85,660, $85,270, $84,020, and $82,210.
Notable Market Events
Binance has “offboarded” a market maker for Movement’s MOVE token that allegedly made $38 million in profit through one-sided market making, contravening the exchange’s rules. All proceeds were frozen to compensate users.
Solana’s futures ETF made an “unremarkable” debut with only $12 million in trading volume during its first week of trading, far less than similar Bitcoin and Ethereum products launched in the past. This suggests institutional investors remain wary of Solana despite its popularity last year.
Altcoin Spotlight: XRP
XRP has supplanted Solana as one of the top-performing cryptocurrencies in 2025, showing greater liquidity and spot trading volume. Market analyst Dom emphasized the need for XRP to stabilize above $2.50 to maintain optimistic momentum, while a symmetrical triangle pattern on higher timeframe charts points to a possible breach towards $4.20 by May.
According to analyst CrediBULL Crypto, XRP could rise to a fresh all-time high above $3.40 in the coming weeks. Liquidation heatmaps show notable liquidity zones at $2.66 and $2.98, which might serve as potential price targets.
Market Outlook
The market’s current performance suggests a cautious recovery following yesterday’s consolidation. With Bitcoin hovering near $87,600 and showing signs of strength, there’s potential for further upside if it can clear the $87,800 resistance level.
Investors should continue to monitor key economic data releases this week, including the US GDP figure due on Thursday and the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation measure (PCE) on Friday, as these could significantly impact market sentiment in the coming days.
