Bard, Google’s competitor for ChatGPT, arrives in Brazil
Google has recently launched Bard, its chatbot competitor to ChatGPT, in Brazil. Bard utilizes LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications), an artificial intelligence developed by the tech giant.
Similar to ChatGPT, Bard aims to provide users with a user-friendly conversational interface to seek information and receive prompt responses.
As of July 13, 2023, Bard is now available in over 40 languages, including Portuguese, German, Spanish, Arabic, and Chinese. Previously, the chatbot was only accessible in English, Korean, and Japanese.
Apart from Brazil, Bard has also been made accessible to European Union (EU) countries.
However, the launch within the EU was postponed due to regulatory demands for enhanced privacy features.
Google has introduced several new features for Bard. Users now have the option to listen to responses in various supported languages and modify the style and tone of the chatbot’s messages.
Additionally, Bard can be interacted with using Google Lens, though this feature is currently limited to English.
Another notable feature allows users to pin and rename conversations for easy reference.
Furthermore, Bard offers the capability to assist users in creating programming codes.
It supports exporting Python code to platforms like Replit and Google Colab.
