Armed Forces Storm Jail, Extract Ex-Leader of Guinea

Armed individuals executed a bold extraction of Moussa Dadis Camara, Guinea’s ex-leader, from prison on Saturday.

This sparked a violent shootout in the capital’s heart. Camara’s attorney reported these events.

“Armed men took my client from jail,” confirmed the chief prosecutor, Jocamey Haba stated. He implied the action was against Camara’s wishes.

Masked soldiers broke into the prison, a judicial source anonymously disclosed.

They knew the layout and approached Camara’s cell directly. “We’ve come to free Captain Dadis Camara,” they declared.

Haba believes Camara was abducted. He said Camara believes in Guinea’s legal system and wouldn’t run away. “He is in danger now,” Haba stressed.

In the morning, security forces sealed off Conakry’s airport and central roads, as per witnesses.
