Almost 700 Brazilian businesspeople participated in “Paraguay in Focus”

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Official sources of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) confirmed that almost 700 Brazilian businesspeople participated in the virtual presentation “Paraguay in focus”, organized by the Ministry through the Investment and Export Network (Rediex) and the Banco do Brasil branch in Paraguay.

According to the information, the head of the MIC, Luis Alberto Castiglioni, made an initial presentation on the advantages and opportunities of investing in Paraguay, followed by the country presentation and presentation of economic opportunities by the vice-minister of Rediex, ambassador Estefanía Laterza, and the director of Investment Attraction, Federico Sosa.

Among the protagonists of the virtual meeting were the president of Banco do Brasil, Fausto Ribeiro; Jayme Pinto Júnior, director of Foreign Trade and Corporate Banking; the executives João Luis Avancini Farinha and Kauam Sarabi Moreira.

“This virtual call for investment promotion in Paraguay is aligned with the MIC’s investment promotion and diversification strategy, through Rediex, adjusted to the strategic objectives of the National Development Plan Paraguay 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. These events are part of innovative actions and of collaborating creatively with strategic actors from the private and public sector, seeking new solutions to facilitate the opening of bank accounts for foreign investors in the country”, stated the MIC.

The Ministry of Commerce also indicated that “an important Costa Rican business group acquired products with the added value of national industrial cannabis and signed a collaboration agreement for massive exportation”.

The Chamber of Industrial Hemp of Paraguay (CCIP) signed a strategic alliance between the company Healthy Grains SA of Paraguay and the group Hemp Time SA of Costa Rica for the massive export of products with the added value of national industrial cannabis.
