“Voa Brasil” program offers affordable flights with 1.5 million tickets per month

The “Voa Brasil” program, introduced by Minister Márcio França, aims to provide affordable flight options at a fixed price of R$ 200 (US$48).

The program anticipates making 1.5 million tickets available each month, gradually expanding its capacity over time.

França emphasized the importance of airport preparedness to accommodate the program’s expected demand.

1. Ticket Price: Each ticket will cost R$ 200 per leg of the journey.
2. Availability: The program will be limited to the low season.
3. Target Audience: Initially, discounts will be offered to retirees, pensioners, and potentially public servants.
4. Eligibility: Prospective ticket buyers must not have flown within the last 12 months.
5. Ticket Limit: Qualified individuals will be able to purchase up to four Voa Brasil tickets annually.
6. Company Participation: Leading Brazilian airlines, including Latam, Gol, and Azul, will collaborate on the program.
7. Funding: The program will not receive any public investment.

The implementation of Voa Brasil aims to enhance accessibility and affordability for air travel, opening opportunities for individuals who have been restricted from flying due to financial constraints.
