We have the top three picks for this Sunday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

LIVE:
Sinara and Victor Mus @ Solar – Tonight is a double show at Solar in Botafogo that demonstrates the quality of new music coming out of Rio de Janeiro.

Sinara are supporting their first album, already having made their debut in 2017 by participating in major festivals such as Bananada and Rock in Rio.

Their new album, “Menos é Mais” (whose single “Sem Ar” entered the soundtrack of the soap opera Malhação), was released on May 5, 2017 by Sony Music.

Victor Mus is the other artist performing tonight. He began his career eleven years ago, and in 2016, he was selected by the Culture Department of the City of Rio de Janeiro to integrate the official cultural program of the 2016 Olympics.

In 2017, he released his debut EP, “Tierra de Tierra”, with excellent public and critical reception. In 2018, he is preparing to release a single from his EP, “Castle”.

This looks to be a great night of Brazilian music, tickets are between R$20 and R$60 and the night is set to begin at 7PM.

PARTY:
Nosso Clubinho (Glória) – Espaço Bella Vista is bringing together many DJs and performers in order to back up their claim to offer the best club in the South Zone. On a Sunday, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better party.

The beginning of the night will see performances by Grupo Firmamento and Arlindinho, two fixtures of contemporary Brazilian music.

Then there will be sets from DJ Alan Castro, DJ Caslu and special guests.

This club has a great and spacious lay-out, with breathtaking view of Marina da Glória, a perfect place to enjoy that one last party of the weekend!

Tickets are between R$20-R$40 and the night should kick off at 8:30PM.

Arpex Party @ Woods (Leblon) – Woods proclaims it throws a party that ‘speaks all the languages ​​of the world.’

Perhaps it’s something to do with the free double dose of Caipirinha on offer from midnight until 1AM.

Felipe Serra is performing, Marcelo Cebukin is playing live saxophone and there will be a DJ set by Ricardo Martins.

And all this entertainment for only R$40, provided you get your name on the list.

Dress code is formal, so no flip flops, caps or tank tops are allowed. The party should get started at around 11PM

Bar Urca (Urca)
Sunday afternoon drinking whilst eating salgadinhos and watching the sunset at Bar Urca is a regular pastime in Rio de Janeiro. This simple establishment on the bayside has been a hit since 1939.

With chilled out vibes during the week and a selection of top DJs playing shows at the weekends, the newly-opened Yndú Lounge in Ipanema is a great option to kick back. With a selection of drinks and tapas, the bar is quickly becoming one of Leblon’s best watering holes.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Just around the corner from Posto 9, Blue Agave Ipanema is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and the international crowd which frequents the establishment. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.
