RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Announced almost six months ago, Pabllo Vittar’s album “111” was released on Thursday, October 31st, or at least a part of it.

There are four songs in this first moment, two of which are new, while the remainder – another six songs – should be released only in 2020. According to her, the cherry on top of the cake.

“When you first get to a birthday party, do you eat the cake right away? Or do you start with the chocolate truffle? Let’s delight ourselves with the first part because the cake will come next year,” she said, jokingly, when releasing the project as part of her birthday celebrations, to be held Friday, November 1st.

Pabllo explained that she chose to split the project into two parts for market reasons. According to her, the demand for music has changed, and fans are constantly looking for something new. Therefore, the already known “Flash Pose” and “Parabéns” will now be released, as well as the new “Amor de Que” and “Ponte Perra”, the latter in Spanish.

“It’s really cool to get out there and sing a song in Portuguese. It was really cool when I took part in the LGBTQ+ parades because I met fans who knew my songs and made an effort to sing “Corpo Sensual”, “Buzina”. They had their accent… If they sing in my language, why can’t I sing in theirs? That’s very beautiful.”

In addition to Spanish, Pabllo also risks English in this new work. She said she took an intensive English course last year, before a season in the United States. As for Spanish, she said she watched the Mexican soap opera “Rebelde” (2004-2006) very often

Except for the languages, she provided very few details about her new album. She said fans will have to wait to see what’s new, both on Thursday and next year, but she said she has several influences, such as reggaeton, techno, afrobeat, ‘axé’, and even ‘arrocha’ rhythms.

As for partnerships, she only confirmed that one of them will be with a “queen”. When asked if it was Ivete Sangalo, Pabllo dismissed the question and took the opportunity to invite the Bahian singer: “Are you recording? I’m inviting you for the second part of my album,” she said, laughing.

In addition to the new project, Pabllo celebrated many other novelties in her career.

She was selected as one of the leaders of the next generation by Time Magazine and will be the first Brazilian to perform at MTV EMA, one of the main European music awards, to be held in Spain next Sunday, November 3rd.

“The message I want to convey to this new generation is that they can do anything. When I was a child, people used to say that I wasn’t going to achieve anything. But you can, you just have to want to,” she said, before completing: “I don’t feel pressure because I’m an influence. Especially since I’m not alone, there are a lot of good people in this role”.

Pabllo will give a pre-show on the red carpet at the EMA: “It will be a special performance, a lot of ‘Flash Pose’, dance and joy for viewers from all over the world”, said the singer, who promised to present a “look” that will reminisce the golden days of Victoria Secrets’ angels.

The singer is also on the list of attractions for Lollapalooza 2020 and has promised a special show. However, she is looking forward to a meeting with American singer Lana Del Rey, 34, also confirmed for the event. “It’s going to be the meeting of my life,” she said, stating she’s a huge fan of her colleague.
