The Placebo Bogotá 2027 concert takes place on Thursday 11 March at the Movistar Arena in Colombia’s capital. Tuboleta, the official ticket seller, lists seats from about US$58 including the service charge.

For US fans the date matters, because Placebo’s official tour list shows no concerts in the United States or Canada. Bogotá is one of ten stops on a Latin American run that ends in Monterrey, Mexico, on 18 March.

An Anniversary Tour Built on Two Early Albums

Placebo, the British band led by Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal, is marking 30 years since its self-titled debut album of 1996. Its 30th Anniversary Tour is playing Europe this autumn and adds ten Latin American dates in February and March 2027.

The British music magazine NME reports that the shows revisit the 1996 debut and its 1998 follow-up, Without You I’m Nothing. The Latin American dates include tracks that have not appeared regularly in the band’s live sets for years, the magazine says.

The European leg features early favorites such as ‘Nancy Boy’, ‘Pure Morning’ and ‘Every You Every Me’. In June the band also released RE, a reworking of the debut album built from the original master tapes, according to NME.

Colombia’s Publimetro adds that the set will travel through different stages of the band’s career, with special weight on its early years. Tuboleta’s listing presents the night as a celebration of three decades of the band’s history.

The South American run opens in São Paulo on 20 February and continues through Brasília, Curitiba and Porto Alegre. It then reaches Buenos Aires on 3 March, Santiago on 6 March and Lima on 9 March before Bogotá.

Placebo’s History With Colombian Fans

The band first played Bogotá in 2007, at the Palacio de los Deportes, Publimetro recalled in its report of 21 September. It returned in 2010 for a concert in the Gran Salón of Corferias, the largest trade-fair venue in the capital.

Placebo came back in 2024 as one of the acts at Festival Estéreo Picnic in Bogotá. The March date is the band’s own concert at the Movistar Arena, presented by the promoter Páramo Presenta, Publimetro reported.

The Movistar Arena opened in 2018 and holds about 14,000 people, according to the venue. Tuboleta’s price list covers 11,460 tickets in seven zones, plus technical and sponsor reserves that may still go on sale.

Tickets and Prices in US Dollars

Tuboleta sells seven zones, and every price below includes the service charge. Dollar figures use 3,236 pesos to the US dollar, the market rate on 9 October.

The cheapest seats, in third-floor sections 302 to 303 and 317 to 318, cost COP 189,000 (about US$58). Third-floor sections 304 to 306 and 314 to 316 cost COP 240,000 (about US$74).

Third-floor sections 307 to 313 cost COP 288,000 (about US$89). The Platea, the only general-admission zone, costs COP 360,000 (about US$111).

On the second floor, sections 207 to 213 cost COP 408,000 (about US$126). Sections 202 to 206 and 214 to 218 cost COP 444,000 (about US$137).

The Tribuna Fan Sur, with only 155 places, is the most expensive zone at COP 721,000 (about US$223). Every zone except the Platea has numbered seats.

These are first-stage prices, and Tuboleta says each zone moves to its full price once its first-stage allocation sells out. The seller also warns that prices can change at any time with supply and demand.

Buying online, through the contact center or at a Tuboleta outlet adds a delivery charge, which is shown before payment. Each transaction is limited to six tickets.

Tuboleta flags sections 201, 219, 301 and 319 as possibly having a restricted view, depending on the stage set-up. Buyers of those seats accept that risk when they pay, the seller states.

What It Means for You

With no North American dates on the tour list, the Latin American run is the nearest option for US fans. After Bogotá, the band plays Guadalajara on 16 March and Monterrey on 18 March.

Foreign cards work on Tuboleta from the start of the general sale, but there is a catch. Tickets paid with a card from an international bank are handed only to the buyer, in person, at the box office.

Plan to collect them yourself and carry your passport, since the venue lists an identity document among the things to bring. The minimum age is 14, and the arena recommends its alcohol-free sections 206, 214, 306 and 314 for minors.

Tuboleta’s conditions also state that women who are visibly pregnant will not be admitted, citing the authorities’ recommendations. Anyone affected should contact the seller before buying.

In New York the show also starts at 9:30 p.m., since US clocks move forward only on Sunday 14 March. In London it will be 2:30 a.m. on Friday.

US citizens need no visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days, the US State Department says. It advises filling in Colombia’s free Check-Mig form online 72 hours before the flight.

Travelers without a return ticket may be refused entry, the department warns. Its advisory, issued at the end of March 2026, rates Colombia at Level 3, ‘Reconsider Travel’.

Bogotá is not on the advisory’s ‘Do Not Travel’ list of areas. The department does warn that demonstrations can be frequent in the capital.

Getting to the Movistar Arena

The arena stands at Diagonal 61C No. 26-35, in the heart of Bogotá, according to the venue. The TransMilenio rapid-bus station on Avenida NQS at Calle 62 is named after it, the city government says.

The State Department advises Americans not to hail taxis on the street and to use a dispatch service or an app instead. US government staff in Colombia may not use public transport, and it tells visitors to follow the same precautions.

The venue recommends arriving at least 60 minutes before the show to clear the security checks. Outside food and drink, umbrellas, selfie sticks and professional cameras with interchangeable lenses are not allowed.

That umbrella ban matters in March, the start of one of Bogotá’s two rainy seasons, according to the city government. The city sits about 2,600 meters up, averages 14°C (57°F) and turns cold at night.

For a place to stay, the city government suggests areas such as the Zona Rosa nightlife district and Parque de la 93. It suggests the Corferias area for travelers on a tighter budget.

What Is Not Known

No opening act has been announced for Placebo Bogotá 2027, and neither the set list nor the running time has been published. Tuboleta’s page header labels the date a Wednesday, but 11 March 2027 is a Thursday, as the venue lists it.

Tuboleta does not show how many tickets remain in each zone or when each zone will switch to its full price. It is also unclear whether the reserved technical and sponsor tickets will be released, or whether a second Bogotá date will follow.
