Interactive Van Gogh exhibition arrives for a season in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The exhibition Beyond Van Gogh arrives in Brazil for a seven-month season. However, only São Paulo, in March, and Brasília, in July, will receive the works of the Dutch painter. Besides literally putting art lovers inside the artist’s paintings, there are still several other options and activities to stay up to date with the artist’s life.

Starting in São Paulo, the exhibition will be available from March 17 until July 3 at Morumbi Shopping. In Brasilia, the show arrives at Park Shopping in July and will be available for three months.

Besides the main hall, which carries the main part of the event, a theater tells more about Van Gogh’s life, the four phases of his painting, some curiosities about his life, and his works. Around the theater, there is a café for art lovers, a shop with shirts, mugs, pillow covers, and other souvenirs, a kids’ area, and an experience for two.

However, each activity has its separate price, and it is necessary to pay a little more than just admission to have full access to the exhibition.

For those who will only visit the exhibition, tickets range from R$70 (US$14) to R$130, depending on the time and day chosen. The lower price is for weekdays, while the higher price is for weekends. However, there are several other options for more complete experiences.

Among the options are “Café com Arte”, which mixes fine cuisine with a theater about the painter’s life, Van Gogh for Two, Van Gogh for Kids, and Art in Movement. For more information about the activities, click here.

BEYOND VAN GOGH

From March 17 to July 3 at Morumbi Shopping in São Paulo: Monday through Friday, from 10 AM to 10 PM (Sessions every 20 minutes, with the last ticket being at 9:20 PM) and Sundays, from 10 AM to 7 PM. Children under 12 enter accompanied by an adult. Rating: Free.
