RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Sunday, December 1st, Flamengo won another Brazilian title in 2019. After the victories in professional soccer and U-17, the team from Rio de Janeiro defeated Palmeiras 3-0 at the Kleber Andrade stadium in Cariacica, Espírito Santo State, and won the U-20 championship.
After losing the first leg 1-0 in a game at the Pacaembu Stadium in São Paulo, Flamengo needed a win, at least 1-0, to lead to the penalty shootout.
Victory by 3-0
However, the red-and-black team won with tranquility in regulation time and was crowned with another Brazilian cup in 2019.
The first goal of the match came in the 28th minute of the first half, from Yuri César. The jersey 10 of the team from Rio de Janeiro kicks from the edge of the area, the ball deflects in the defense of Palmeiras and ends up deep in the net.
Flamengo reaches the 2-0 in the final stage, in the 24th minute, with a penalty kick from Wendell.
In the 49th minute, Guilherme scored the final figures, after a superb pass from Lázaro.
