In this case, there are two ways: leave it permanently in the garage or pay attention to the ad, like “salvage yards in Dallas“.

TOP 4 WAYS TO SELL A JUNK CAR

Everything is in your hands, except for the results of the accident. It depends on them what condition your junk car is in and what you can now claim in terms of its sale.

There are no hard and fast rules, but damage often falls into one of the following categories:

· external body damage
· interior damage to the cabin
· internal damage to mechanisms
· fire (internal or external)
· complete destruction
Depending on the situation in which the car got, as well as on the desires and preferences of the owner, the strategy for selling a junk car may be different. Below are the basic options that can be combined with each other and with other selling options.

1. REDEMPTION OF JUNK VEHICLES

You shouldn’t think that a car after a serious accident becomes a bunch of useless scrap, which is difficult to get rid of and even more so to sell to someone.

Now many companies are just buying up broken cars, and they are ready to go to the seller for a car within a few hours after the call (for example, JunlCarsUs).

The reason for this interest is simple — financial gain. They are bought either for disassembly into auto parts, or for further restoration and resale.

They work according to the following scheme:

· Departure to the place of a company specialist after a call from the seller
· Vehicle appraisal and final price negotiation.
· Signing of the agreement on the transfer of the vehicle.
· Transfer of money and removal of the car to the company’s parking lot.
· Re-registration of documents.

Selling a broken car to such organizations has a lot of advantages:

1. Fast sale. By contacting a company that buys junk cars, by the end of the day you will be able to get rid of your car and get money in your hands. You don’t have to wait for weeks for someone who will still agree to buy your vehicle, despite its condition.

2. Minimum effort involved. All that is required of you is just to call, wait for the appraiser and sign the contract. No need to submit any ads, update them regularly, call up a bunch of people who want to see the car and do a bunch of other things.

3. There are no problems with the transfer of the junk car. The buying company itself will take care of ordering a tow truck and transporting the car to the temporary parking lot. It pays all expenses.

4. No hassle with deregistration. This is also done by the organization that buys it.

As you can see, contacting a salvage car company is an incredibly quick and easy way to sell your junk car. However, this method has one significant drawback — you’ll save no more than 30-50% of the real value of your damaged vehicle.

2. SALE OF A JUNK CAR TO AN INDIVIDUAL

Not only specialized firms are engaged in the repurchase of cars in disrepair. Individuals are also ready to buy them.

For example, professional service station masters who are ready to restore a broken car on their own.

In order to place an ad, you’ll need to take a picture of the car, write a description, including describing its breakdowns and malfunctions, and upload all this to a special section on the site, not forgetting to indicate the price and your phone number.

Compared to the previous method, this one has a very important advantage — you will get a lot more money. However, self-selling has disadvantages:

· It may take weeks or even several months until a buyer is found
· The need to monitor the ad and raise it regularly
· Making time to meet with potential buyers
· Ability to communicate with people and psychological preparation
· The need to independently deal with the documents
· Solving the issue of evacuation of the car
· Costs of money for the sale: highlighting the ad, reissuing documents, sharing the costs of calling a tow truck

Selling a junk car takes time, patience and a willingness to deal with a lot of questions.

3. SALE FOR SPARE PARTS

Selling a junk car for auto parts is a way that will allow you to get the most possible money from your damaged car. First you need to disassemble the car.

If you know design well, have the right tools and are confident that you can handle this task, you can do it yourself. If not, then you’ll have to contact a car mechanic.

There are two ways to sell auto parts:

· Appeal to the service station
· Placing ads on flea markets

If there are no necessary connections with auto repair shops, then it’ll be quite difficult to sell spare parts to them. In addition, few of them are ready to offer a real price (JunlCarsUs do it), usually they buy much cheaper than the actual cost.

4. RECYCLING AND SCRAPPING

If the car is completely in disrepair, the way out of the situation is the disposal of the vehicle or scrapping.

· When sending a car for scrap, payment is made at the general rates for non-ferrous and ferrous metals and additionally you have to pay for a tow truck

· When scraping the car, by handing it over for recycling at your dealer, you can get a significant discount on the purchase of a new one; but car recycling isn’t free.

As you can see, even if there is no way out, there is one (even two).
