By · January 10, 2023 · 1 min read

Information was confirmed by the Brazilian Federal Police (PF) and by lawyers who represent part of the more than 1,200 people detained.

After spending more than 12 hours locked inside a Federal Police (PF) gym, women, children and the elderly began to be released from detention on Monday night (9).

More than 1,200 protesters were detained in a gym

The information was confirmed by the PF and by lawyers who represent part of the more than 1,200 people detained in the camp in front of the Army Headquarters in Brasília.

“Our lawyers who are at the scene with the prisoners have just informed that after conversations with the police chief, people who have children and those over 60 have already been released,” the Conservative Lawyers Association said via Twitter.
