RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The announcement of Auction No. 1/2022, the first Transmission Auction of 2022, has been approved. The document approved by the Collegiate Council of the Brazilian National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) concerns the bidding of 13 lots for the construction and maintenance of 5,291 kilometers of transmission lines and 6,260 MVA in substation transformation capacity, with an expected investment of R$15.3 billion (US$3 billion).
