Alckmin is expected to take on the Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade, sources say

Brazil's vice-president-elect Geraldo Alckmin will assume the Ministry of Development, Industry, and Commerce, according to sources heard by Valor.

The announcement should be made tomorrow by the president-elect, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, together with the other names.

Alckmin will accumulate the duties of vice president.

This is because his functions as vice president are said to be in "full harmony" with those of the MDIC.
