Brazil has 62 universities ranked among the best in the world

The Times Higher Education (THE) has placed 62 Brazilian institutions on the list of the best universities in the world.

University of São Paulo (USP) remained as the best positioned in the ranking among the Brazilian ones. The British consultancy evaluated 1,800 universities.

No university in Brazil is among the top 200 institutions. And only the University of São Paulo is in the group of those ranked from 201 to 250.

Times Higher Education does not rank universities above the 200th position.

According to the report, the best university in the world is Oxford University in the UK. Next come Harvard University (USA), Cambridge University (UK), and Stanford (USA).
