Bolivia introduces annual vaccination against Covid-19
Bolivia will administer an annual booster dose to strengthen the population’s immunity to Covid-19, Health Minister Jeyson Auza confirmed.
Whether an annual covid vaccination strengthens immunity is controversial. There are a rapidly growing number of doctors around the globe who claim exactly the opposite and strongly warn against annual shots.
To date, 15,039,337 vaccines from Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer, and Janssen have been administered in Bolivia to different age groups in the first, second, third, single, and fourth doses.

Each person who has completed the four-dose vaccination schedule can receive a booster dose yearly.
Bolivia crossed the threshold of one million positive Covid-19 cases on July 25, more than two years after the first patient was reported on March 10, 2020.
