Peru remains the most delicious culinary destination in South America

Peru won three awards in the category of tourism and gastronomy at the World Travel Awards in South America, including the best gastronomic destination in the region.

“Undisputed winners! Peru obtains three important recognitions in the World Travel Awards South America 2022 that demonstrate once again the excellence of our country at the tourism, gastronomic and cultural level in the region,” said the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism, an office attached to the Ministry of Tourism, through its Twitter account.

In addition to being recognized as the best gastronomic destination in South America, Peru also received the award for best tourist attraction in South America for the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
