By · December 27, 2021 · 1 min read

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Wheat has a record production forecast for the 2021/2022 harvest in Santa Catarina, according to the Brazilian Supply Company (CONAB). The planted area has also increased by 66%.

According to CONAB, the favorable weather, best management practices, and public incentives are behind this increase.

Wheat has a record production forecast for the 2021/2022 harvest in Santa Catarina.

The optimistic outlook is also repeated with soybeans, the most widely cultivated grain in the state. The planted area increased by 4.3%, and the harvest should reach 2.6 million tons, 13% more than the previous crop.

Corn production in the state should also increase, reaching 2.9 million tons.
