Son of Argentina’s President-elect is Successful Drag Queen

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – In Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro brought his offspring into politics in a way never before seen in the history of Brazil. The tasks range from manager of social media to ex-future ambassador to the United States. All of this combined very well with his macho, homophobic, and hateful public speeches.

In Argentina it is different. The elected Alberto Fernández is the father of Estanislao Fernández, a 24-year-old artist who succeeds in performing as a drag queen.

His persona is known as Dyhzy and carries a look inspired by the world of cosplayers. “I was in a relationship with a girl who was doing cosplay and I started to get interested. That’s how I started to dress up and, at the same time, I got to know the world of drag queens”, said Estanislao in an interview with Formosa radio.

Even though he considers himself a gay man, the son of the new Argentine president has been dating a girl for four years. For Estanislao, sexuality is fluid and his relationship with the girl is a choice.

His girlfriend, the photographer Natalia Leone, joined him on Sunday night at his father’s victory party. On his Instagram, with over 110,000 followers, Estanislao thanked the messages of affection he has been receiving and showed the commemoration with the Peronists. “Thank you for the wave of love,” wrote the new resident of Casa Rosada.

In an interview with ‘Radio con Vos’, Fernández declared that he is not afraid of being rejected because of his son’s work and that the boy is “a great man”. “In this world [of drag queens], which I don’t know much about, he is very respected and acknowledged. I am proud of my son. How can I not be? He is a militant for the rights of this community. I would be worried if he were a criminal,” said the president.
