Saturday’s Rio de Janeiro Nightlife Pick – Tonight the popular Base party returns to Leopoldina for its third and final edition of the season.

D-Groov, Tolkien 32, Keskem, and the BASE Crew with Bernando Campos, Felipe Fella and Pedro Mezzonato will spin on the Electronic Stage. Nana Torres and Glen will also spin a back-to-back set and Ellie Ka will present a set with live vocals.

Nedu Lopes, Pathy Dejesus, Ccel, and Saraiva will spin on the Hip Hop Stage during the night and VJ Ian Victor will provide visuals.

Matanza (Lapa)
Rio de Janeiro hardcore punk/metal/country/ countrycore band Matanza will launch their new album, Pior Cenário Possível (Worst Possible Scenario) live at Circo Voador in Lapa tonight. Going strong for more than a decade, the Matanza is well known for their aggressive style and epic live performances. Bands Norte Caretl and Zumbis do Espaço will open tonight.

Tonight São Paulo`s Carlos Capslock arrives in Rio for the first time and he’s bringing a busload of followers with him for a special MEMNTGN/QDUT showcase tonight at CAVE club in Arpoador. In addition to Carlos Capslock, L_CIO, TESSUTO, and ZOPELAR will spin during the night.

Zoeira (Centro)
Known as the biggest and best hip-hop party in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1990s, the Zoeira party makes is triumphant return at La Paz in Centro tonight. DJ João Woo and guests Rabú Gonzales and Rebeca Dues will spin the best of rap, trap, and dubstep on the lower floor while DJs Pachú, King Mack, Stephan Peixoto, DJ Castro and Nicole Nandes spin above. Additionally there will be a pocket show with Aori, Nacho Garcia, Lil Mila and Marcão Baixada. For lovers of hip hop in Rio, this is an event not to be missed.

The weekly Sette Sábado party returns to Sette Leblon tonight. Tonight the Rio Music Boate in Cinelândia will present the Glow Party “Neon.” Neon accessories including bracelets and paint will be distributed throughout the night. Organizers suggest that attendees dress in white, but it is not mandatory. DJs will spin throughout the night and there will be an open bar

Nations (Botafogo)
Casa da Matriz in Botafogo presents the second edition of the Nations with the party celebrating the United States and Russia. There will be hamburgers and promotions on Budweiser. Russian Vodka will be distributed throughout the night, as well as Uncle Sam and Russian hats. DJs Barcala, Viny Moreira, and Zé Mario Portela will spin the best of pop on the first floor while DJs Ian Gar6 and Mario Mamede spin the best of rock on the second floor.

Singer Lu Oliveira will start the night at Rio Scenarium tonight at 8PM with the best of samba and Brazilian music including her reinterpretations of works by Tom Jobim, Baden Powell, Gilberto Gil and Cartola, among others. The group Toca na Surdina will follow at 11PM with the best of samba and pop. Then, beginning at 2:30AM, the Trio Rapacula will perform the best of forró until the sunrise.

Tonight Leviano bar in Lapa will present a special edition of the Leviano Rock party with musician, singer-songwriter, and producer Baia performing live.
