Sunday’s Rio de Janeiro Nightlife Pick – It’s time for the best of funk, pop, and rock as the Bomba Santa party returns to Fosfobox in Copacabana tonight.
It will be a special Matinê Festa do Sinal party with stoplight colors signaling to other partygoers your mood and intentions during the night. Red means you just came to dance; yellow means maybe you are looking for more or maybe not; and green signals all systems go.
Additionally during the night DJs Xoxota Louca, Julha Gameiro, Narciso, Angelini, Andrézao, and Ingrid Grundig will spin the best of axé, brega-pop, funk, techno, hip-hop, rock and more.

Praça (Lapa)
Today the Praça event returns for a second edition at Circo Voador in Lapa with the palhaços Triciclo (Tricycle clowns), the Pernalta collective, and the band Bagunço performing. Additionally, DJ Eppinghaus of the SerHurbano will spin during the night.

The third of four Sundae Tracks parties this winter will take place at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo tonight. DJ Melvin will spin on the first floor and special guest DJ Nobru Maia will spin on the second floor. Promotions will include three Budweisers for the price of two and two-for-onne Cuba Libre all night long.

Roda de Samba and Football with Ballet 2 Passistas (Football) (Lapa)
Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue plays live games on their screens with samba dancers following the matches and the group Ballet 2 playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. Additionally, DJ Mukato will spin during show intervals.

On Sunday nights, OMG Lounge in Leblon is hosting the Sambombom party, a lively a roda da samba that is a great way to end your weekend. Promotions include two caipirinhas for R$25.50. Opened in March, the OMG Lounge has been attracting both locals and tourists alike. In addition to offering an intimate atmosphere and new varieties of food and drinks, the venue is hosting events on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
