Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – The Matrix Live Sessions event is back at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo tonight will three bands performing live.
Created with the goal of making rock ‘n’ roll more affordable and making Tuesday nights more lively, the Matriz Live Sessions were one of the earliest regular events hosted by the club.
Bands Linda Lobo, Cadillac S.A and Retroativos will make this Tuesday night more exciting and promotions during the event will include two-for-one specials on caipirinhas all night.

Spotlighting up-and-coming rock bands and musicians while adding some life to typically less than lively Tuesday nights in Rio, the ‘Matriz Live Sessions,’ event is back at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo tonight with the bands Linda Lobo, Cadillac S.A a d Retroativos performing live.

Bem Brasil – The Rio Hostels Party (Gávea)
The Bem Brasil party is back at 00 (Zero Zero) tonight with live samba from the band Pretensão and DJs JR Mahr and Haron Dufau spinning the best of hip hop, Latin rhythms, reggaeton, cumbia, and kuduro throughout the night. Additionally promotions will include free caipirinhas from 11PM until midnight.

Bem Brasil na Miroir (Ipanema)
Tonight Bem Brasil will also be hosting a party at Ipanama’s Miroir nightclub.There will be free caipirinhas from 11pm to midnight and Haron Dufau, as well as the resident DJs, will be on the decks until 4:30 AM.

Feel Leblon (Leblon)
The weekly Feel Leblon party is back at Sette Leblon bar and lounge tonight. Promotions include all you can drink caipirinhas until midnight and two for one beers for R$15 all night long. During the event, DJs Jonatan K and ES$ will spin the best of electronica, trap, house, indie rock, funk Carioca, hip hop, reggeaton and samba. Entry fee is free for women until 12:30AM.

Késia Estácio (Lapa)
Tonight singer Késia Estácio returns to perform live at Carioca da Gema in Lapa. Estácio cites influences including Elis Regina, Djavan, and Chico Buarque, among others, and tonight she will perform the best of MPB, samba, soul and pop. During the show she will be accompanied by bassist Rodrigo Villa, guitarist Gabriel de Aquino, percussionist Thiago da Serrinha, and drummer André Manhães.

Folakemi Quintet (Lapa)
On Tuesdays in December, the Leviano Bar will host the Folakemi Quintet. Folakemi is a British singer known for her covers of Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse, among others. During this season of shows, she will once again perform the best of jazz, nu jazz, blues, funk, and soul with the quintet. Additionally on Tuesday nights this month, DJ Sandro Black will spin the best of Fela Kuti, Miles Davis, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Billie Holiday, and Amy Winehouse among others.

Turma do Estácio and Jorginho do Imperio (Centro)
Jorginho do Imperio will start the night at Rio Scenarium tonight at 7:30PM with the best of samba and carnival sambas enredos. Turma do Estácio will follow at 11PM with their samba, passion and joy in rhythm of drumming.

Trapicheando @ Trapiche Gamboa (Gamboa)
On Tuesdays in December Trapiche Gamboa is hosting the Trapicheando project with Rafael dos Santos, Pipa Vieira, Roberto Moreno, Jorge Alexandre and Tiago Misamply performing live. Additionally tonight, the group will welcome special guest singer-songwriter Rafael de Moraes.

Lord Jim’s Pub is the oldest pub in Rio and its well known for live music and promotional specials. During Happy Hours (6PM to 8PM) on Mondays through Fridays, the pub offers two-for-one draft beer. This is also a great place to watch live sports.

With classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Happy Hour is “dose dupla” (two-for-one) on Mondays through Fridays 6PM-8PM. Additionally, tacos are half-price on Tuesdays. This is another great place to watch live streaming sports.

Pub Crawl Ipanema (Ipanema)
Every Tuesday night Bem Brasil Entretenimento is presenting the Pub Crawl Ipanema, a tour of Rio Nightlife. Beginning at Belmonte Bar in Ipanema (Rua Teixeira de Melo, 53) at 8PM, the tour include stops at three bars and ends at the club, 00 (Zero Zero in Gávea), which hosts the Bem Brasil – The Rio Hostels Party on Tuesdays (see above). The entry fee to 00 is included with the Pub Crawl price and there will be free caipirinhas in the club until 12AM.
