Friday’s Rio de Janeiro Nightlife Pick – Tonight Quintavant and Áudio Rebel will present a live performance by American composer, guitarist, and singer Arto Lindsay.

This will be the first show of the Ocupação Quintavant/Áudio Rebel series at Sala Funarte Sidney Miller in Castelo/Centro.

During tonight’s show, Lindsay will be accompanied by guitarist Luís Filipe de Lima and Marcos Campello will participate.

Tonight Fundição Progresso will host the second night of WebFestValda. Started on the 23rd and continuing through the 25th, the WebFestValda is an independent music festival/competition. Tonight ConeCrewDiretoria and Emicida will perform live. The competing independent bands, Amanita, Djambê, Sinara, Eu, Tu, Eles, Paranambuco, Zé Brother, Luana Camarah, Todos os Santos, Elemento Principal and Muito Mais que Isso, will perform between the Cone Crew Diretoria and Emicida shows.

It’s time for the best of trap and techno at La Paz in Centro tonight as the venue hosts the third night of its five-night celebration of its two-year anniversary. Tonight the party will include the presentation, ‘Camarão Azul’ with Zeca Richa and Nelson Yabeta at 9PM and beginning 11PM, Claps and Ufo will feature DJs André Menezes, Gabriel Mattos, Teco, Nobru Black, Rodrigo Gonzaga, Rodd Rodriguez, Marcelo Schild Arlin, André Moreno, Felipe Torres, and André Lima spinning the best of trap and techno.

Tonight the Praia Club, now located in Ipanema, will host the second edtion of the Shotz Up party. DJs Luan Nascimento, BB/\, K-A-Z, Vitinho DJ, and De Luca will spin the best of deep house, future house, big room, funk, trap, and EDM throughout the night. Tonight the Gamboa club, The Week, will host the third edition of the Warehouse party with DJs Zeh Pretim, Bernardo Malta, Tomas Troia, Marie Bouret, PL Project, D-Groov, Maz and 3V Crew spinning throughout the night. Additionally, there will be an open bar with Finlandia Drinks & Shots, Budweiser, “Love Shots,” Santa Dose, sodas and water until 11PM.

It`s time for the best of pop, house, and beards as the Barbado party returns to Fosfobox in Copacbana for its fourth edition tonight. Special guest Jeff Valle will spin the best of tribal house during the night. DJs Fabiano Penna and Júlio Doutor will also spin on the Barbado stage in the subsolo (basement) during the night while DJs Marcelo Haubrich, Ginger Drag, Chloe Van Damme, and Phill Ferreira will spin above at the Fosfobar during the party.

Trio Ustres, Samba na Véia, and Bianca Leão (Centro)
AT 8PM, singer Bianca Leão returns to Rio Scenarium to start off the night with the best of samba and her reinterpretations of works by Paulinho da Viola, Noel Rosa, and Ivone Lara, among others. The group Samba na Véia will follow at 11PM with the best of samba and bossa nova from the 60s and 70s including their reinterpretations of works by Paulinho da Viola, Chico Buarque, and Cartola, among others. Then beginning at 2:30AM, Trio Ustres will perform the best of forró until the sunrise.

The Lapafest party returns to the Leviano bar in Lapa tonight with singer Lucas de Moraes starting things off tonight on the first floor with a lively roda de samba including his reinterpretations of works by João Mogueira, Zeca Pagodinho, and Jorge Aragão. Singer Mar César will follow with more samba plus the best of MPB, soul, funk and samba reggae. Addtionally during the night on the second floor, the power trio Johnny’s will perform the best of International pop rock. DJs Márlio and Aílton Areas will spin the best of samba, sambalanço, funk, hip hop and electronic during show intervals
