Saturday’s Rio de Janeiro Nightlife Pick – The Cosmic party returns to the CAVE venue in Aproador tonight. A relatively new party, Cosmic is quickly gaining popularity, helped by the guests DJs the event welcomes during every new edition.

Tonight DJs Caio Busetti, Maz, Olliver Mach, Luthier, and Tiago Lucius will spin throughout the night at CAVE.

An underground venue, CAVE is still one of the most talked about clubs in the city. It has, since its opening, hosted top notch events including the popular Wobble and DOOM parties, the Brazilian Wax event, Dutch DJ Eelke Kleijn as part of the Rio Music Conference Club Week and the Friendly Fires and Charli XCX as part of the MECAPresent Rio Festival.

WebFestValda (Lapa)
Tonight Fundição Progresso will host the final night of WebFestValda. Band Suricato will open the night, performing beginning at 9PM. At 10PM, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners as well as Best Vocalist and Best Guitarist of the 2015 WebFestValda will be announced. Then Nando Reis will perform live to close out the festival.

It’s time for the best of trap and techno at La Paz in Centro tonight as the venue hosts the fourth night of its five-night celebration of its two-year anniversary. Tonight the party will include the presentation, ‘Camarão Azul’ with Zeca Richa and Nelson Yabeta at 9PM and there will be Donatinho LIive PN and a DJ set, Luizinho LBF, Brant, Joca Vidal, and Gustavo Benjão will spin. Jodele Larcher will provide visuals during the night.

The weekly Sette Sábado party returns to Sette Leblon tonight. There will be an open bar with all you can drink caipivodkas, vodka drinks, sparkling wine, longneck beers, sodas, and water from 11PM to 4AM. Additionally during the night there will be a live show and Karaoke with Rick Lima in the Gastrolounge and DJ Jimmy will the best of international and national hits on the dancefloor.

The ROCK N GLØW party returns for its nineteenth edition at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo tonight. It’s time for poetry, eroticism and debauchery as Porto Pirata hosts the Vozes Soturnas event tonight. Guest poets will include Marcio Rufino, Felipe Rey Rey, Esperando Leitor, Monique Nix, Paula Beatriz Albuquerque, Victor Colonna, Matheus Goudar, Mariana Valle, and Letícia Brito. Additionally during the night, Flavio Watson, Morcega, Nosfë, and Akira will spin the best of post punk, new wave, darkwave, gothic rock, synthpop, coldwave, minimal wave, witch house, dark house, environment, trip hop, grave wave, and deathrock. The group Empolga Ás 9 will follow at 11PM with the best of samba, funk, forró, frevo, and pop. Then beginning at 2:30AM, Trio Ustres will perform the best of forró until the sunrise.

Festa Eclipse (Lapa)
Tonight the Leviano bar in Lapa will present the Festa Eclipse. The bands Licor do Canavial will perform the best of national and international rock on the first floor at 9:30 PM and the band XXXXXXXX will perform on the second floor. The Mar Cesar Trio will start off the night during happy hour by peforming the best of pop rock, electronic and hip hop.

Ana Costa and Mingo Silva (Lapa)

Tonight Bar do B in Laranjeiras presents Macabra: Gangue Morcego.
